History

1887 Beginn des Lehrbetriebs der "Philosophisch-Theologischen Akademie". Daraus entwickelte sich die "Akademische Bibliothek". "Im Jahr 1930 wurde das Bistum Paderborn zum Erzbistum erhoben, daher nannte sich auch die Bibliothek nunmehr Erzbischöfliche Akademische Bibliothek."
